How It Works
Inveon's catalog has an endpoint that accepts the order of the products in a category. Merchandiser calculates that order from your data and sends it, category by category, as a list of products with their positions. Your storefront then shows the category in that order.
Nothing is added to your storefront, and your theme is not changed.
What Merchandiser Reads
- Product feed
- Your products with their prices, stock, sizes, attributes and categories, read from the feed of your store.
- Category tree
- The names and addresses of your categories, read from the catalog API, so that every category in the panel carries its real name and links to its page.
Views, add-to-carts, purchases, revenue and conversion rate come from Google Analytics 4. Sales from your own systems, including store sales, can be sent through the product metrics API.
What Merchandiser Sends
- The order of products in a category, as a list of SKUs with their positions, including your pins.
Merchandiser does not change your products, prices or stock.
What You Provide
- A product feed of your store.
- Access to two catalog endpoints: the category tree and the sort webhook.
- Permission for Merchandiser's servers to call these endpoints. We give you the server addresses during set-up.
- A GA4 property with e-commerce events, for the performance data.
Staying in Sync
Your feed is read again on a schedule. Each category is re-sorted at its own sort frequency, and a category whose order has changed is sent to Inveon.
Every run is recorded, and the panel shows which jobs succeeded and which failed. See how integrations are monitored.
